What Is Kybella?

Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable drug made of deoxycholic acid. The deoxycholic acid breaks down fat cells in the treated area when injected. The resulting effect can change the contour of your neck, diminishing the area of submental fullness. 

A series of two to four 15-20 minute treatments, usually one month apart, can destroy fat cells in the chin and neck area. Once your aesthetic goal is achieved, results are expected to be long lasting.*

What to Expect on the Day of a Kybella Treatment

Bella Sol Medical Spa wants you to have nothing short of a pleasant experience! Please arrive for your appointment makeup-free. We will properly cleanse your skin and identify the targeted areas for the injections. A specialist will then inject Kybella into the targeted areas highlighted in your consultation.

 This process is swift, taking around twenty minutes per treatment session. However, it will take several sessions for Kybella to do its work and start blasting away the fatty cells to reduce the submental fullness and improve the facial profile.

After every treatment, you can go home the same day.

Kybella Recovery

For most patients, downtime was minimal and occurred most commonly after the first treatment session.* Some patients may experience mild swelling. When scheduling your treatments, please remember your social plans and work commitments.
